By accessing or using OkapiFind ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

OkapiFind is a mobile and web application that helps users remember where they parked their vehicles. The Service allows you to:

• Save parking locations with GPS coordinates
• Add photos and notes to saved locations
• Get navigation guidance to your parked vehicle
• Sync parking locations across multiple devices (with account)
• Use the Service in Guest Mode without an account

3. User Accounts

Account Creation: You may use OkapiFind with or without creating an account. Creating an account enables cloud sync and additional features.

Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. We use third-party authentication providers (Google, Apple) for secure sign-in.

Account Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activities.

4. Guest Mode

When using OkapiFind in Guest Mode:

• Your data is stored locally on your device only
• Data will not sync across devices
• You may lose data if you clear browser cache or uninstall the app
• Limited features may be available compared to authenticated users

5. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purposes
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Upload malicious code or viruses
• Harass or harm other users
• Reverse engineer or copy the Service
• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission

6. Location Data

Accuracy: While we strive to provide accurate location services, GPS coordinates may have inherent inaccuracies. We are not responsible for any issues arising from location inaccuracies.

Usage: Location data is collected only when you save a parking location. You can delete any saved location at any time.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by OkapiFind and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your parking locations and user-generated content remain your property. By using the Service, you grant us a license to store and process this data to provide the Service.

8. Premium Features

We may offer premium features or subscriptions in the future. Terms for premium features will be provided at the time of purchase.

9. Disclaimers

AS IS: The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

No Guarantee: We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Third-Party Services: We are not responsible for third-party services (Google Maps, Firebase, etc.) that the app relies on.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OkapiFind shall not be liable for:

• Loss of data or inability to access saved locations
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Any damages resulting from GPS inaccuracies
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Unauthorized access to your data due to security breaches beyond our control

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold OkapiFind harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect and use your information.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
